Cambodia Maps and Travel Guides

Click here for a larger Map of Southeast Asia

We suggest that everyone travelling to Southeast Asia take a map and a guidebook. Map Town carries an excellent selection of both maps and travel guides for the whole region and each individual country. Whether it is for an all-inclusive one-week holiday or a three-month on-a-shoestring adventure, your trip planning will be successful using these valuable tools.

The security of knowing where you are and where you are going makes having a map well worthwhile. Often the advice on restaurants and hotels contained in a guide book will save you many times the price of the book, not to mention the joy of finding just the right restaurant.

Information and Online map of Cambodia

Known locally as Kampuchea, the Kingdom of Cambodia is located in Southeastern Asia, bordering the Gulf of Thailand, between Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos. Phnom Penh is the capital city, with a population of one million. The entire country has a population of 12 million, the vast majority of whom are ethnic Khmers.

Although there is little seasonal temperature variation, the tropical climate is broken up into two seasons: the rainy, monsoon season (May to November) and the dry season (December to April). The most comfortable temperatures (17 - 27 C) occur between November and February, which also coincides with the tourist high-season.

Some of the attractions include the beaches of southern Cambodia along the Gulf of Thailand and the Temples of Angkor Wat, ancient ruins of over 100 temples, built from 879 - 1191 AD when the Khmer civilization was at its height. Start dreaming of exploring these sights and more when you buy a travel book for Cambodia and a map of the region.
