Facts and Online Maps for Kenya

The name Kenya is synonymous with lions, elephants, wildebeests and safaris. This country is located along the Indian Ocean in eastern Africa, bordered by Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia. Nairobi is the capital city, although most visitors spend their time around the countryside. Mountaineers and trekkers will be attracted to 5199 m Mount Kenya. Photographers and wildlife enthusiasts will migrate to the famous parks, such as Masai Mara National Reserve, Aberdare National Park, Marsabit National Park & Reserve, Kakamega Forest Reserve and Amboseli National Park. If the ocean is what you yearn for, Mombasa is the largest port along east Africa, and has a long history. The beaches along the Indian Ocean stretch both north and south of the city.
