Map Town will be donating prizes to the upcoming Canadian Heavy Oil Association Curling Funspiel. This year promises to be a great day of curling, games, networking and a whole pile of Fun.

The Sait GIS Club will be holding its Industry Night on Friday March 23rd, 2012 from 5:30 to 8:00pm at the Odyssey Coffee House in the Campus Center on the Sait main campus. The evening will be a great chance to meet new GIS users, catch up with old friends and co-workers, as well as mingle and network with others in the GIS community.

This initiative teaches reading to children in third world countries “It is our belief that by breaking the bonds of illiteracy for both women and children, we can empower them and help break the cycle of poverty, violence and crime in their respective communities.”

GlobalFest is a not-for-profit society dedicated to celebrating and showcasing Calgary's cultural diversity and artistic excellence within our communities locally and across the globe.
Map Town strongly believes that people, especially children should understand their world, both locally and regionally. To that end 5,000 maps were distributed over the course of the festival to attendees.
