Race Replays 2010

These links lead to replays of Gps tracks for sailboats racing out of Victoria, BC.

If you need a GPS, I off course recommend you get it from Map Town.

You need to wait a couple of minutes for the java applicaton to load.
Once it has loaded you will see a play, stop, rewind button near the bottom.

Click the stop button (square button).
Make the changes below.

SPEED Slide the Acceleration control to around 10 to speed up the playback. You can change the speed anytime without stopping the replay.

Pick your BOAT- Important the ZOOM does not work if you don't "Focus" on at least one boat !! 

Running your mouse over any boat when the replay is on will center that boat in the screen.

If you want to center more than one boat then follow the instructions below.

Hover your mouse in the bottom left corner of the map window a "Parameters" button appears.
Click the parameters button. A window opens with a list of the boats.
Check the "focus" box for the boat or boats you want centered on the screen.
If you don't want to se the tracks behind each boat, check "None" for that boat(s).

ZOOM Hover your mouse in the top left of the map window a "Zoom" control appears.
Slide the zoom to about 1M/px for the start, 2M/px for the race . You can change the zoom on the go as you wish.

You are now ready to view. Click the play button (arrow).
