Antique map of Italy by Jean d'Anville - circa 1794. This rare map of Italy was prepared for the King of France. Compiled by the cartographer Jean Baptiste Bourguinon d'Anville in 1794. Published by the Duke of Orleans in Paris. The scale bar shows the "Common Miles of Italy & England", "Modern Roman Miles" and "The Great Leagues of France". The cartouche is dark in matter but decorative. Includes a compass rose.

Shows all of Italy, Sicily, Corsica, Sardinia and the north tip of Africa. The Mediterranean Sea and Gulfs of Venice, Tarento, Genoa are others are visible.

Monotone. Rates FINE and is very hard to find. Measures 9.75 Inches wide x 11.25 Inches tall.
