Antique map of the West Coast of Africa - circa 1738. The cartographer is Jacques Nicholas Bellin. Places of interest include Gibraltar, Senegal, Topic of Cancer and the Canary Islands. Shows the Prime Meridian and has a compass rose. This map was made by order of Mgr. le Comte de Maurepas. The map reads Coste Occidentale D'Afrique, Depuis le Detriot de Gibraltar.

Measures 9.25 Inches wide x 14 Inches tall. This monotone map is very hard to find and is in good condition. This map is in French. There is some old writing on the map along the edges.
