Rare map of Persia by Pieter van der Aa - circa 1680 to 1697. This is a regional map of the Persian Empire. Includes modern day Israel, Central Asia, Iran and Iraq. Places of interest on the map include the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Caspian Sea, Arabia, Syria, Mesopotamia, Cypress and Babylon. The decorative cartouche shows a man, possibly a trader with a lamb beside him. The coverage is 22 to 47 degrees latitude and 72 to 104 degrees longitude.

Measures 12.25 Inches wide x 8.5 Inches tall. This hand colored map is in very good condition and hard to find. Foxing along the edges.
