A travel map covering the area between Kabul and Brahmaputra River (India) and from Tadjikistan to Delhi. The Roof of the World is an apt name for the Gordian knot of mountains that radiates out from Tibet like a galaxy spiral north to the Aleutians, south to Indonesia, east to Japan, and west to Europe. The Himalayan region is not only of paramount strategic value, but it is a lovely and exotic part of the world. Think of Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, the Karakoram Highway, the new rail line to Lhasa, the hill towns of India, the sanctuary provided to the Dali Lama, the mountain treks in the Mustang Valley, the majesty of Mount Everest! It is all on this double-sided map from Kabul in the west to Assam in the east and from the isolated Tibetan plateau in the north to the Indus Valley in the south.
Printed double-sided on paper. The legend includes: International boundaries, province boundaries, expressways, main highways, secondary highways, railways, fresh and salt water lakes, rivers, swamps, glaciers, sands, international airports, domestic airports, zoos, hotels, temples, mountains, parks, wild life reserves, forests, point of interest, ruins, ferries, caves, golf fields, historical settlements.
National Geographic's India, South AdventureMap is designed to meet the unique needs of adventure travelers with its durability and accurate information. This folded map provides global travelers with the perfect combination of detail and perspective, highlighting hundreds of points of interest and the diverse and unique destinations within the country.

As a travel destination, Bangladesh has to be considered as part of a trip to India for most people, so in addition to updating and modernizing our artwork, we have added a map of the easternmost portion of India, showing access routes and sites of interest in both countries. One of the great treats of Bangladesh is to take a ferry from Dhaka to Khulna, a two-day trip. The map also includes an inset of Dhaka, the capital, although we had to show only a few of the thousands of mosques in the city.
Sri Lanka and Southern India travel map
. Even though Ceylon has been called Sri Lanka for many years, the Emerald of the Pacific has struggled to develop a sound tourism industry. In part, this is due to a long civil insurrection, and in part to the fact that it is located off main air routes. To make it easier to market, we have converted our map into a double sided entity, with Sri Lanka and an inset map on one side with a detailed map of southern India (Mumbai, Kolkata south to Madurai). We believe that most people touring southern India would relish the trip across Adams bridge (which is actually a ferry) to the northern tip of Sri Lanka. To me, the essence of the country rests in its rail trip from Colombo to Kandi, in the mountainous heart of Sri Lanka. This is a country with much to offer: beaches, tea estates, good roads, nice accommodations, and friendly people.
Featuring a new-style cover and easy-fold system, this map of South India is marked with tourist attractions and public transport systems, and includes inset maps of major cities. It provides information on hotels. The map includes special maps of Andaman/Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Goa and city maps of Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Madras and Thiruvananthapuram, Trivandrum.
