This map starts with an inset of Chicago, showing it following Hwy36 (Route 66 no longer exists except as a historic route), then south to St. Louis, then west to Oklahoma City before one has to move to side 2 for the route west past Albuquerque, then through Flagstaff and the Mojave Desert to Los Angeles and the terminus of Route 66 on the beach at Santa Monica.
