It'sbeen four years since Gilchrist's last full guidebook, and in that time, he’stracked down a bundle of new bistros, bakeries, pubs, noodle shops, espressobars, tapas cafes and so on. Well over half the entries are new since last time. But Gilchrist has revisited his oldfavourites, too. The book covers all food cultures and price ranges in Calgary,Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Longview, Okotoks, Cochrane, Dead Man's Flats andparts in between. New to this edition is a rating of noise levels for mostof the restaurants.
